This past Saturday, the parish grounds came alive with the sights, sounds, and aromas of the annual St. Clement’s Summer Fair. More than four hundred visitors from across Harborview gathered for an afternoon of fellowship, fun, and fundraising — all in support of the parish’s outreach ministries.
Highlights included the Altar Guild’s legendary bake sale (Mrs. Abernethy’s lemon drizzle cake sold out within the first twenty minutes), a silent auction featuring donations from local businesses, children’s games on the parish lawn, and live music from the St. Clement’s Youth Band — making their debut performance.
The fair raised over $12,000 for the Food Pantry, prison visitation ministry, and the parish’s contribution to the diocesan Haiti partnership. „This is what parish life looks like,“ said Fr. Whitmore. „People of all ages, all backgrounds, coming together to serve their neighbors with joy.“
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and attended. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
